Norwest

Development Direction

Norwest in Sydney is a comprehensive mixed-use project that was initiated in 1987. The original master plan incorporated 378 hectares of land, and envisaged a regional retail centre, commercial and industrial sites, hotel sites, residential precincts, recreational, entertainment and civic amenities and a 20-year development life. Norwest was the first land development project in Australasia to make innovative use of a positive (as distinct from restrictive) land covenant—designed to manage ongoing development standards and estate management through compulsory membership of the Norwest Association. It has won numerous accolades, including runner-up in the prestigious International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Master Plan category in 2007. Some 30 years after project initiation, Norwest is now home to 400+ companies and 25,000+ people. It is arguably Australasia’s most successful mixed-use urban development project.

  • Preparation of individual and consolidated feasibility studies.
  • Preparation of funding proposals.
  • Development of marketing and business plans.
  • Promotion of the entire project and individual developments.
  • Reporting to the joint venture stakeholders.
