Wendy’s professional career spans over 30 years. She has held senior positions with internationally respected advertising and promotional marketing agencies Cato Johnson (now Wunderman) in New Zealand and Kuczynski & Zeigler in Australia. She has worked with some of the world’s leading brands including Coca Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Rexona, Addidas, KFC, Colgate Palmolive and Woolworths.
Wendy’s marketing related work has given her invaluable skills and experience in the areas of market research, strategic market planning, brand promotion, advertising and the development of point-of-sale materials and sales collateral.
In addition to her marketing work, Wendy has experience in the quality management sector with the W. Edwards Deming Institute — a world renowned provider of quality control and productivity enhancement services to business. Wendy had responsibility for coordinating meetings at CEO and senior executive level and facilitation of quality management seminars for larger groups of up to 300 participants.
Wendy’s management experience includes being Marketing Manager for Queenstown Resorts (a public listed company and the largest hotel owner-operator in New Zealand at the time), Development Director at a leading independent girls’ school and co-owner of Coastal & Country.
Born in Matamata, Wendy left New Zealand when she was six and lived and went to school in Guatemala, Italy and England. She graduated from the University of London with a BA (Hons) in Economics & Public Administration. She also has a Diploma in Hispanic Studies from Salamanca University in Spain and has studied marketing at the University of Auckland.
Wendy offers a truly professional approach, high ethical standards, exceptional communications skills and a cosmopolitan outlook. Her role at Coastal & Country is focused on project marketing campaign development and implementation, communications and administration.
Wendy is married to Nigel, she has three adult children and enjoys keeping fit around their life-style farm, horse-riding and walking in the beautiful Northland environment.
